Digital Learning is any type of learning that is accompanied by technology or by instructional practice that makes effective use of technology. It is at the fingertips of our young “digital citizens”.

A variety of coding languages are taught with BeeBots (F), Ozobot (1), Edison (2), Sphero (3) and CodeBug (4) robots and Minecraft Education MakeCode in Years 5/6.

The VCAA website has framework for the curriculum including the 3 strands of Digital Systems, Creating Digital Solutions and Data & Information. Foundation to Year 4 students attend weekly specialist Digital Technologies lessons in a new Windows 11 lab, use iPads, apps and a variety of robots, as well as developing digital literacy skills in the classroom. Year 4/5/6 students have a BYOD iPad program with their own device with agreed apps and Senior students attend a specialist Media lesson each week learning about photography, movie making and Minecraft Education coding. Each classroom has an IWB/TV with Apple TV connection.

Edupass usernames and passwords allow students to access MS 365 apps both at home and at school on all devices at: https://www.edustar.vic.edu.au/o365. Downloads of Microsoft apps on MS 365 are all free when enrolled in a Victorian Government school.
